Personal: I grew up in Austin and attended Austin Community College and Southwest Texas State University now known as Texas State University. Since 2000, I and my husband have been residents of Marble Falls. My youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organizations - drill team, Big Buddy Program (now known as Big Brother Big Sister) and flying. Current interests and hobbies of mine include spending time with the family, water sports, snow skiing, coaching softball and attending church. I am married to Steve Hurst, a real estate developer and attorney practicing in the area of real estate, and we have three children: Bill, Daniel and Tory.
Professional: I have been in the real estate industry since 1983. I represent clients in the Highland Lakes and Texas Hill Country areas specifically within the cities of Marble Falls, Burnet, Horseshoe Bay, Spicewood, and Cottonwood Shores. Recently, I have been directly involved in the development of the mixed-use master planned communities of La Ventana at Lake Marble Falls in Marble Falls, TX and The Ranch at Delaware Creek in Burnet, TX. Currently I have the privilege of serving as a Commissioner on the City of Marble Falls Planning & Zoning Board as well as on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee. I have current knowledge of the market conditions and transactions in the Highland Lakes and Hill Country areas.
Why Teachers?
As a parent I have been involved with the schools that my three children have attended. In that regard, I have acted as an advocate not only for my children but for other children in addition to and lending support for the teachers, counselors and administrators of the schools. I know the challenges there can be and want to continue to support our educational system.
